Hubbard Glacier
Hubbard Glacier is the most spectacular single glacier we’ve ever seen! It is the largest tidewater glacier in the world, a little over 5 miles across at the face and over 40 stories high in places. Part of the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park, Hubbard Glacier is fed by the mountains in that park and Canada’s Kluane National Park.
If you’re lucky enough to go to Hubbard Glacier on a clear day the views of the surrounding mountains is one of the best in the world!
If your cruise does not go to Glacier Bay National Park, Hubbard Glacier is a very close second. As a matter of fact I would hate to try and choose which of these two experiences is actually better… Glacier Bay is more of a total experience, but Hubbard Glacier is definitely spectacular! |
