Alaska Destinations

Whitehorse:  The capital of the Yukon Territory, Whitehorse is a fun stop on a lot of tours.  Again, although flightseeing, hiking, river rafting etc. are all available in Whitehorse and are all fun, the best part of an extra day in Whitehorse is Kluane National Park.  Kluane backs up to the US's Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and combined with the triangle of Glacier Bay National Park the three represent the largest parcel of roadless lands left on the planet.

Kluane gets only about 1/6th the visitors that Denali National Park gets and is one of the most scenic places we've ever been.  The UN has designated this area as a UNESCO World Heritage site and if you get the chance to go there please, please do!
